Hawaii Attorney General Anne Lopez is warning residents to use caution and verify charities before donating to Kona Low Disaster Relief efforts. The AG’s office encourages people to verify the status of the charity through the Hawaii Attorney General’s web site; IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search; Charity Navigator; and DCCA Business Search.
