Residents in Lihue could see increased fire department activity next week as the Kauai Fire Department hosts Wildland Urban Interface fire training. The training will be May 5-8 with the field training being conducted as Isenberg Park. The training will focus on safety, command and control, and operational strategies for wildland fire fighting operations.
