The state attorney general is joining 48 other states in asking for the Federal Communications Comission to strengthen rules that would cut scammers’ access to legitimate phone numbers. In 2025, Americans receive 29.6-billion robocalls and texts and lost nearly $2-billion to scammers. The attorneys general are asking for a crackdown of spoofing number.
