Kauai Island Utility Cooperative had the second highest renewable energy generation in the state in 2025. At 52.8% of renewable energy, Kauai was second only to Hawaii Island. The utility is ahead of the 40% renewable energy requirement by 2030 and on track to reach 100% renewable energy by 2045.
